Journeys of Hope: Europe, religions and asylum
The tragedy of the conflicts that affect wide Mediterranean areas reaches Europe’s shore on floating wrecks loaded with refugees. This is how a debate on reception and the asylum right begins: doesn’t Europe give up its democratic principles and humanistic tradition when it cannot protect the rights of those who flee war?

Albania, an example of interreligious coexistence in Europe
Albania was part of the Ottoman Empire during five centuries, in which it was the only Islamic country in Europe. Then, it became, for a short time, a kingdom with no official religion. Afterwards, with the communist government of Enver Hoxha, established after WWII, Albania became the only country in the world that adopted State atheism, by including this principle in the 1976 Constitution.

Iftar: Muslims, Christians and Jewish together for Ramadan
It is well known that in the aftermaths of 9/11 a tragic fracture between Islam and Western society developed, not only in the United States, but in Europe, too. Suddenly, a mood of fear and mistrust spread to those who had been living for years in our countries, working, studying, and sending their children to our schools.

Made in Italy - Citizen you become
Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci - Via San Vittore 21, Milan
On October 13, 2015, the Chamber of Deputies approved the law reforming the requirements for Italian citizenship; after many years of waiting it was finally taken a decisive step for the recognition of the rights of those who already speak, think and live the Italian daily for decades, because they were born in Italy or immigratedat birth. A turning point that we want to celebrate together, in the hope that the transition to the Senate for the final approval could be fulfilled soon.
Dialog Milano has its reference in the House of Dialogue that hosts, in its five rooms, a symbolic and temporary exhibition: a tribute to the most widespread religions - Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam. In the House of Dialogue people have the chance to get to know the different religious traditions and their shared commitment for building a more peaceful and humane world.
