Lucjan Avgustini

Andon Merdani 

Ortodox Bishop, Church of Albania

Archimandrite, bishop of Kruje, he studied at the Theological Seminary of Athens. Ordained bishop in 2004, he works closely with the Archbishop of Tirana and Albania, Anastasios Yannoulatos. He has long provided the training of seminarians of the Orthodox Church in Durres.

Genti Kruja

Born in Scutari in 1977, he conducted research at the University of Tirana on the theme of dialogue among religions. In recent years, through various programs, he made possible the cooperation with various local and international organizations in order to organize events that promote the values ​​of dialogue. 

 

 

 
 
 
Alberto Quattrucci

Born in Rome in 1952, he studied pedagogy at the Faculty of Education in Rome and theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University, specializing in Holy Scripture. He furthered his studies later, together with an active commitment in the field of history of religions and interreligious dialogue. His studies and his interests intersect with the ecclesial and social commitment as a member of the Community of Sant'Egidio. Since 1988, Alberto Quattrucci is General Secretary of the "International Meeting of Peoples and Religions", an association founded by the Community of Sant'Egidio to promote and develop mutual understanding and dialogue between religions. In line with the World Day of Prayer for Peace held in Assisi and promoted by Pope John Paul II in October 1986, the Association of Peoples and Religions has broadened and deepened its work as instructed by the Pope: "... we continue to spread the message of peace and to live in the spirit of Assisi ... ". So it has developed a dense network of relationships between men and organizations from more than 90 countries, representatives of different faiths and cultures, bound by a common aspiration for peace and justice.
